The
NAIT Centre for Boreal Analysis is recruiting science-minded college students to work
on utilized analysis initiatives within the Plant and Seed Know-how Entry Centre
(TAC) within the Peace River space. The Plant and Seed TAC develops methods and
strategies to reap, improve and ship native vegetation and seeds for land
reclamation and reforestation. College students shall be supporting numerous initiatives in
the lab, greenhouse and within the subject.

 

NOTE:
This place would require relocation to Peace River, Alberta

 

Key
Tasks:

• Conduct seed assortment within the subject.
• Conduct seed extraction, storage and germination testing.
• Help researchers in seed enhancement experiments.
• Help researchers in greenhouse experiments (plant propagation and
  upkeep).
• Discipline reclamation.
• Experimental plot setup and tree measurements.
• Information entry.

Abilities
& Talents:

• Eager curiosity in native boreal vegetation and seeds.
• Primary plant identification abilities.
• Primary information of nurseries and/or gardening.
• Capability to work in a crew in addition to independently when required.

  planting, and vegetation survey.

{Qualifications}:

• Should be a present school or undergraduate
