Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for an Field Operations Supervisor to join their safety conscious team at CNRL Albian! They will be responsible to supervise, schedule, coordinate, and control the abrasive blasting operations of Clean Harbors, including providing services in a safe, efficient, and professional manner that meet schedule and cost projection for each project so that Clean Harbors may produce under the optimum conditions of productivity, cost effectiveness, safety, and ease of operations.

Responsibilities
- Manage, operate, and maintain the company’s facilities within budget guidelines.
- Plan all operations to optimize facility efficiency, operations work force, materials, supplies, equipment and tools, including tracking productivity for labor and material costs.
- Analyze and control expenditures of operations to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Ensure that all inspections are renewed before due dates in order to comply with Company policies.
- Meet all job specifications, including identifying quality problems and initiating corrective actions.
- Ensure that the quality of work meets or exceeds established company guidelines.
- Make job assignments and provide guidance and supervision to all employees assigned to the project.
- Assure that everyone assigned to a job is properly trained and equipped, including ensuring materials and supplies needed to do the job are ready and available; Responsible to implement and maintain a level of cross training so effective functional backups can always guarantee continuous service operation.
- Responsible for teamwork and active co-operation among the operators, laborers, and shop personnel, and with other employees of the company.
- Seek out input from employees and recommend improvements of machinery, equipment, and job site processes to branch management.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce a preventive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment, including keeping machinery, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Ensure that there is no form of discrimination anywhere in the company regarding sex, race, creed, age and religion.
- Provide input and feedback to branch management on bids before submission to the client.
- Monitor branch spending on equipment maintenance.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-5 Years in a Management related role;
- 5+ years’ experience in abrasive sandblasting
- Experience in oil production facilities
- Ability to work a 14/14 rotation, and work nights when required;
- Strong knowledge of logistics;
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Word/Excel/PowerPoint;
- Strong Business Acumen;
- Proficient in SAP an asset;
- Budgeting and Financial Management Skills;
- Customer Relationship Management Skills;
- Solid understanding of Safety Policies and Procedures;
- Understanding of Provincial and Federal Health and Safety Regulations;
- Able to collaborate and inspire a range of people to achieve results;
