The College of Rhode Island’s Feinstein Faculty of Training seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor in Educating English to Audio system of Different Languages (TESOL) and/or Bilingual/Twin Language Training. This can be a full-time, nine-month appointment starting in Fall 2024. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Growing and sustaining an acceptable agenda of analysis and funding; educating programs for TESOL and bilingual/twin language schooling, together with, however not restricted to second language acquisition, strategies of TESOL/bilingual schooling, advising undergraduate and graduate college students; and interesting in sustainable partnerships with native faculties and districts to construct data and enhance practices that serve multilingual college students. The candidate can also train programs and advise in further packages within the Faculty comparable to our new Ph.D. in Training.

{Qualifications}

Required:

  1. Ph.D/Ed.D. in Training, TESOL, Bilingual Training, Utilized Linguistics, Second Language Research or carefully associated discipline at time of appointment.
  2. Experience in TESOL and/or bilingual/twin language schooling.
  3. Document of scholarly exercise commensurate with stage of expertise.
  4. Expertise as a PK-12 TESOL/bilingual instructor in a faculty setting.
