Trustworthy AI Software Engineering Intern – Summer 2024

NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company”. We are looking to grow our company, and grow our teams with the smartest people in the world.

You will be a part of an exciting multidisciplinary team building a Generative AI large language tool using our foundation models. You will need strong technical skills to script and code. The finished product will be a fun and intuitive Trustworthy AI tool for NVIDIANS.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating a data library of all Trustworthy AI processes, requirements, documentation, etc. that can easily be updated as we add new information.

  • Working with our AI platforms to create a scalable, integratable multimodal software development tool.

  • Collaborating and implementing input from product managers across the enterprise including those from NeMo LLM, Riva, TAO, Tokkio, and other foundation product teams.

  • This tool, an information curator, will give NVIDIANS working on foundation models access to essential information to build robust, trustworthy AI. It will also give NVIDIANS access to information about our Trustworthy AI initiative, replacing traditional training videos to deliver accurate information on-demand.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or related field

  • At least one course in technology ethics

  • Creativity in implementation

  • Excellent understanding and application of C++ and Python programming languages, algorithm design and development, deep learning frameworks, MLOps, and UI design.

  • Experience deploying in front and backend software development environments

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience deploying computer vision and natural language processing AI models

  • Demonstrated track record with implementing innovation and/or creative solutions to problem solve

  • Experience contributing as a lead for a software development team, particularly across a full stack

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work on a team with cross-functional people across departments

  • Not afraid to ask questions, use first principles reasoning, and exhibit strong follow-through
