Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the trades supervisor, prides a high standard or good workmanship for the continuous (preventive) maintenance of general repairs of all furniture, equipment and general upkeeping of buildings under the control of McGill Residences.


Previous experience in Dealing with public in a service area. High school leaving certificate. Experience and practical knowledge of the techniques used in several trades relating to the sector of general maintenance. Knowledge of a certain number of mechanical or electrical tools. Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.

Additional Information:

Summer 2023 Student Employment May 5 to September 2, 2023.
Work Schedule Monday to Friday 8h00 – 16h15 (hours and days may vary due to summer business needs).
