The Department of Science at the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus invites applications for a term instructor position in Physics. This position involves responsibility for teaching a lab section in the 2023 Winter term. The course is listed as AUSCI 165 Physics Laboratory, and serves as an introduction to the scientific process and methods in physics. This lab section will take place on Wednesdays from 6:30-9:30 pm, and will cover an 11-week term (January 25th to April 17th, 2023). Each lab section has a maximum of 24 students.

The successful candidate will be expected to hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Biology or a related field, and will preferably have recent experience in university teaching at the undergraduate level.
It has an appointment from January 1, 2023 to April 30, 2023, and is subject to budgetary approval.
