Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following company policies/procedures and adhering to all Federal and Provincial safety standards
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience in all inter-actions, communicating in a courteous and professional manner
  • Identify sales opportunities with solutions-based recommendations to new and existing customers
  • Install and service TV, Phone, Internet and Security systems over fiber/copper networks, running and fishing cables and programming equipment
  • Splice and repair various types and sizes of telecommunication cables including Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial and fiber optic
  • Using meters and tools for testing and diagnostics
  • Self motivated with ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Adaptable to fast paced environment and rapid changing situations
  • Assist other team members when required to do so
  • Maintain accurate records through documenting installations, services and repairs.
  • Operate all related equipment, materials, tools and vehicle in a safe and responsible manner

  • Good verbal and written communication skills required for interacting with both customers and co-workers on a daily basis
  • Work a physically demanding routine, which includes standing, lifting, climbing, bending or crawling in tight spaces while in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments
  • Require some knowledge of computers, routers/hubs, Wi-F and software
  • Possess good technical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess good time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Ability to work with common hand tools and ladders
  • Previous experience with low voltage, electrical, cabling, twisted pair or fibre optics is an asset
  • Previous experience in customer service/sales is desired
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License; a clear drivers abstract will be required
  • Must be willing to work alternating shifts and weekends/holidays

Previous experience in Telecommunications I&R is preferable but training will be offered to successful candidates.

Salary: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
