Role and Responsibilities:

As Technical Support Specialist reporting to Technical Solutions Lead, you will work with the product, field and operations, software developers, as well as clients, to provide technical support on our various range of products, software, and applications.

A typical day may involve troubleshooting or assisting Customer Support Representatives or Field Techs with the resolution related to product or application issues. providing documentation of our product and software capabilities and participating in discovery calls for prospective clients where you would explain our offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The role includes:

· Developing a solid technical understanding of how IoT works and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

· Technical assistance relating to our products and software.

· Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and having discussions about the solution with end-users. Support for initiatives and integrations.

· Prioritize varying projects while also able to multitask and drop everything to solve a current issue.

· Testing of software, including taking a structured approach.

· Assisting users with configuration troubleshooting and decision making.

· Ensuring quality of service of our portfolio of installed devices, by monitoring configurations, and identifying risks.

· Taking part in discovery calls with end-users, tracking deliverables as required.

· Researching and documenting technical requirements. Documentation of processes and improving current documentation libraries.

· Providing internal stakeholders with timely and accurate information on our product capabilities.

· Work with the software developers to find solutions to issues with processes and work in the spirit of continuous improvement.

· Maintaining positive relationships with the project sponsors/stakeholders/business departments and foster effective communication both internally and externally.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Skills:

· At least one year of working experience in a technical field, experience in IoT field is an asset.

· Bachelor’s degree or higher.

· Demonstrated technical aptitude and technical experience. Should be comfortable discussing technical specifications, and verbal and written communication of technical requirements.

· Technical knowledge of IoT Architecture is an asset. Know how to read code and spot bugs.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced start up environment and balancing competing priorities.

· Able to take ownership of tasks and manage them to completion.

· A knack for troubleshooting and problem solving, particularly for software and wireless devices.

· Experience with project management software such as JIRA an asset.

· Technical writing and documentation experience an asset.

· A demonstrated interested in technology and IoT.
