North York Arts (NYA) is one of six Local Arts Service Organizations (LASOs) in Toronto whose purpose is to
deliver on the city’s social, economic and cultural goals outside of the downtown core. NYA was created to
specifically address the needs and interests of artists, arts organizations and residents based in the six wards of North York.Please note, the NYA office is located on the second floor of the Meridian Arts Centre and is not
wheelchair-accessible or may be challenging for those with mobility limitations.About the Role
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Social Media Coordinator, is responsible for planning and
executing NYA’s social media strategy, maintaining NYA’s website, contributing to marketing efforts and
supporting event-management.Due to the nature of the performing arts environment some occasional work will occur outside of regular office hours including some evenings and weekends. Lieu time is offered as compensation for overtime.
