Job Abstract
The Sentinels of Change Alliance brings collectively Hakai Institute scientists, College of British Columbia (UBC) scientists, and native communities to watch Salish Sea biodiversity at an unprecedented scale and backbone. The purpose is to resolve our understanding of ecosystem processes to assist the sustainable improvement and administration of the Salish Sea, which supplies important providers to a bunch of First Nations, Tribes, and communities. The event and implementation of this analysis program will likely be shared between researchers at UBC and Hakai. Hakai scientists and Sentinels Analysis technicians will implement and preserve the neighborhood associate community and biodiversity monitoring program, offering a constant collaborative framework.
Organizational Standing
Technicians will help the Principal Investigators from UBC and the Hakai Institute in all elements of the Sentinels of Change analysis program. The person will work together intently with a workforce of technicians at UBC and the Hakai Institute, in addition to postdoctoral researchers related to the Sentinels of Change program. Technicians will work together with directors and workers from inside UBC and the Hakai Institute.
Work Carried out
● Engages, communicates, and coordinates with neighborhood companions finishing up participatory science throughout the venture.

Monitoring Buildings (ARMS), autonomous sensors (e.g. temperature loggers), and different monitoring gear requiring specialised coaching.

● Collects and prepares environmental and organic samples for DNA sequencing.
