Purpose
The Senior Technical Analyst – Technical Integration Services is responsible for leading the integration of customers’ Treasury systems with Scotiabank’s Cash Management payments, receivables and reporting products and services. The individual will perform the duties of an integration expert interfacing between customers, business and technology partners. The successful candidate will be adept with managing medium to complex integration projects and have a business, process and technology understanding of cash management payments, receivables and reporting services.
What You’ll Do:

The scope involves both a domestic and global focus, working with business and technical resources on the customer side.

Implementation activities typically involve the integration of multiple cash management, receivable and reporting products and services into a new or existing customer Treasury system.

It will require project management and negotiation skills, some knowledge (and/or demonstrate the ability to quickly learn these technologies) of internet file transfer and security protocols, file format troubleshooting and domestic/international electronic payments understanding.

Often deadlines are fixed and driven by the customer and/or contractual obligations.

Day-to-day activities around the implementation of complex and technical cash management and reporting products for large commercial and corporate customers.

Provide consultative & other support to the Customers, Sales, Product, Helpdesk, and outside 3rd parties.

Work with technology partners on opportunities (business consultation with customers) to translate cash management payment and reporting services data files.

Identify opportunities for technical and business enhancements for new and existing cash management payment and reporting services; and identify and help implement continuous process improvements.

Integrate Scotiabank’s Cash management products and service with the customer’s ERP and or TMS systems. The customers are large corporate and commercial customers.

Be the technical contact for the customer during the implementation Scotiabank’s Cash management products and services.

Provide customers with innovative solutions to address their financial payments and reporting pain points.

Work with Scotiabank’s IT departments to translate customer’s financial payment, settlement, and reporting requirements into customized cash management products.

Work with Scotiabank’s sales, product, IT and support teams and vendors in the role of consultant, advisor and solutions expert for payment and reporting products and services.

Identify opportunities for technical and business process improvements and enhancement for cash management products and services.

Partner with sales teams in pre-sales solutioning and customer ERP responses.
What You’ll Bring:

A minimum of 5 years Bank experience and/or related experience complemented by formal education at the University or College level.

An understanding of the cash management payments, receivables and reporting products and services the candidate is responsible for supporting.

Knowledge of bank application systems and their relationships within the bank and/or demonstrate the ability to quickly understand these systems interdependencies.

Knowledge of the technical aspects of the implementation area including file transfer communication protocols, file formats and/or demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp these technologies.

Expert communication/interpersonal/negotiating skills;

Not required, but considered an asset:

Basic understanding of programming fundamentals will assist in interacting with technology partners.

Fluent in Spanish (oral and written)

Fluent in French (oral and written)
