The Position

In Roche Informatics we focus on delivering technology that evolves the practice of medicine and helps patients live longer, better lives. 

You will be responsible for the Design of solutions and tier 2-3 operational support, performance, lifecycle management and continuous improvement of the underlying technologies. You will be part of multiple initiatives or projects with multiple specialists across multiple time zones in order to achieve the organizational objectives.

As a Senior Specialist Directory Services you would be part of a multicultural and global team protecting our information and assets from unauthorized access, security risks and cyber-attacks.

The Opportunity:

Lead (as Solution Architect) small to medium sized technical teams and contribute to the end to end design of infrastructure solutions producing and maintaining sufficient documentation. 

Interact with senior internal and external partners on significant technical matters and contribute to determining success criteria and evaluation of promising solutions/technologies via Proofs of Concepts (PoC’s) and feasibility studies. 

Providing 2nd and 3rd level support. Operationally manage and support and implement the Directory Services Infrastructure on premise and in cloud Entra ID, its associated compliments and applications. 

Proactively monitor systems and platforms for performance, availability and capacity management and ensure that the solution and component escalations are minimized.

Promptly responding to customer requests, resolve incidents and implement changes, ensuring a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction

Understanding, implementing and following relevant concepts of ITIL, GxP and Project Management. These include Request Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Document Management, Qualification and Validation and Project Management

Actively focusing on own self-development and creating actionable plans to improve

Provide 24×7 on-call support (approx 1 week per month). Flexibility regarding working hours

Occasional international travel is required

Who you are:

5-7 years of experience with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline; or recognition of prior working experience which is equivalent

Robust experience working in a major global organization, preferably in a regulated industry

Proven interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals in multiple countries and in varying cultures

Strong design and hands-on technical background. Solid experience on Microsoft Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Services (LDAP) and Entra ID with key focus on Governance and Administration of Identity Security Cloud Services and the synchronization of hybrid environments (Cloud/On-Premise). 

Powershell Scripting skills will be required 

Willingness to continually evolve, acquire and maintain the technical and soft skills appropriate to the requirements of this position
