Job Summary The Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development develops and delivers innovative and diverse educational programs for more than 5000 students annually to help them navigate the changing world of learning and work. Across the spectrum, the Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development offers 300+ courses that help people prepare for undergraduate study or build new skills for career change or advancement. Reporting to the Dean, Open Learning and Career Development, the Senior Program Manager, Program and Impact Evaluation is directly responsible for program impact evaluation including but not limited to operations, policies, and procedures, funding and financials, research leadership, quality control, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures the development and effective delivery of program impact and evaluation training and support programs. Acts as a resource, manager, and consultant on program impact and evaluation-related matters.
  • Responsible for the operationalization of the faculty’s program and impact evaluation strategic plan and has overall responsibility for the management and oversight of the day-to-day program and impact evaluation functions for the faculty.
  • Develops and implements faculty-level program and impact evaluation policies and procedures, as well as reporting and monitoring of program and impact evaluation activities.
  • Manages program impact and evaluation budgets and accounts. Actively seeks funding sources and acquires program impact and evaluation funding.
  • Communicates with external stakeholders to determine program impact and evaluation needs, and provides and promotes opportunities for program impact and evaluation dissemination for faculty and staff.
  • Reviews the impact and effectiveness that completed program impact and evaluation projects have on our faculty, the wider university, and our community.
Note The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree, with at least five years’ progressive research and/or program impact and evaluation experience in an education organization. (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Demonstrated success in academic research and/or program impact and evaluation
  • Proven track record of operational oversight, including the operations, finances, and quality control levels.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, and highly developed reasoning to solve a wide range of intellectual or practical problems and provide strategic insight on research and program impact and evaluation initiatives.
