Job Summary: InCycle Automation, has immediate openings for Simulation Tech/Engineer.
Responsibilities of the Simulation Tech/Engineer position include:
- Importing and translating CAD data from SolidWorks, Catia, Fides and etc. with correct procedures (for example, data reduction) into Simulation software formats
- Working with Process Simulate and Roboguide applications
- Importing Layouts (2D, 3D)
- Adding Kinematics to Devices (tools, guns, etc) with correct speeds and other settings
- Gather and implement correct process info to simulation study
- Reach study analysis for interferences, position/location issues and cell layout validation
- Analyze and project welds or weld beads
- Create Robot paths per required specifications and attributes
- Upload existing robot files and data if required for retool projects
- Export equipment positional data from simulation environment to layouts.
- Running Swept Volumes for Robot per project requirements
- Simulation cycle time verification with correct tooling and control sequences.
- Create/produce Simulation related documentation per project requirements
- Create downloads for robot programs in native Robot language
- Able to read and understand industrial mechanical schematics
- Other duties as required
As a qualified Simulation Tech/Engineer candidate, you MUST possess the following skills, experience and education:
MUST MEET MIN REQUIREMENTS BEFORE APPLYING
- Canadian or US citizenship is required to apply
- Robot programming experience is required
- Knowledge of Process Simulate software
- A team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated, organized, responsible to follow technical directions
- Good understanding of Body Assembly GEO and Fixture Tools for Assembly Systems
- Exposure to GEO Stations, Respot lines, Nest and Hand off Tables, Robot End of Arm Tooling, Conveyor systems
- Completion of a formal simulation program and 2+ years of simulation experience, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design Software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Catia, Fides)
- Ability to work comfortably with Process Simulate and Roboguide platforms
- Capable of working individually or as part of a team
- Availability to work (Mon-Friday, with possible Overtime and Weekend.)
Desired Skills and Experience
- 2 plus years of experience with Simulation Design
- Working experience with Process Simulate
A university/college degree and/or diploma in Engineering Field (Mechanical Design or Automation from a recognized institution)
Ideal Candidates include:
Process Simulate Engineer/Designer
Robot programming experience with Automotive standards
Mechanical Designer with Robot programming experience.
