Analysis Affiliate
A full-time Analysis Affiliate (RA) place (40 hours/week) is accessible within the Zandberg and Bergstrom labs within the Departments of Chemistry and Biology (respectively) within the School of Science on the College of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus https://science.okay.ubc.ca/ . The preliminary appointment is for one 12 months with the potential of an extension topic to availability of funds. This place strengthens the analysis capabilities in analytical glycoscience. This RAship focuses on the event and implementation of HPLC-MS and MS/MS-based strategies for analyzing glycans, in addition to growth of novel strategies for glycomics and sialylomics. The RA will interact with practitioners and lecturers, and can work intently with analysis assistants, graduate and undergraduate college students, and extremely certified personnel to boost the analysis by Zandberg and Bergstrom teams. The anticipated beginning date is October 15, 2023.
Candidates will need to have:
– A Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or a associated subject.
– Expertise and experience in trendy strategies instrumental evaluation particularly mass spectrometry, and gasoline and liquid chromatography.
-Expertise and experience in biosensor design and fabrication
– Analytical technique growth expertise
-Proof of expertise within the supervision of scholars
-Mission administration abilities.
– Wonderful written and verbal abilities as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals in addition to technical displays at conferences and conferences.
