CYBD activities include intervention studies, observational studies, biological studies, and knowledge translation relevant to youth bipolar disorder. The focus population is youth who have bipolar disorder or who have a first degree relative with bipolar disorder.CYBD is seeking applications for a part-time, contract (6 months) Research Assistant. The incumbent will report to the Research Manager and join a clinical research team working on a number of research studies examining bipolar disorder. In this position, you will be responsible for working both autonomously and in a team of research staff to achieve study targets.The Research Assistant will primarily provide administrative support for multiple research studies and clinical trials. Duties include scheduling research visits with research participants, organization of research documents, data entry and working with databases ensuring that accuracy and data quality is maintained, and literature searches, preparing PowerPoint presentations, proofreading documents, attending research meetings, and other administrative duties.You will provide regular updates to the Research Manager and will provide administrative support to the team in other research related duties. The candidate must be able to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located primarily at 80 Workman Way.The successful candidate will have Secondary School and/or Specialty Courses. Experience working or volunteering in a health services or academic setting, an asset. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to produce high quality and accurate work while meeting program deadlines and requirements. Experience with Electronic Data Capture Systems such as REDCap is an asset. You will have proficiency with Microsoft Office. Other preferred skills include the ability to work in a team environment as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates require the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Please Note: This part-time 6-month contract position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.CAMH is a fully affiliated teaching hospital and research institute of the University of Toronto.
