Our goal is to tailor treatment to each individual, providing patient-centered, comprehensive, coordinated care.Reporting directly to the Research Manager of the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre, CAMH is seeking a part-time, contract (6 months) Research Analyst to support a variety of research activities within the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre. The Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre is the first research and education centre in Canada dedicated to improving care for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health challenges. The Centre’s efforts are organized around four pillars – research excellence, clinical innovation, education and training, and knowledge exchange.Working with Clinician-Scientists, the Research Analyst will contribute to patient-oriented research, knowledge translation, and stakeholder engagement initiatives, with a focus on creating accessible, inclusive health communication tools.Key Responsibilities

  • Support the co-development of accessible, evidence-informed health communication tools for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their caregivers
  • Collaborate with stakeholder groups (e.g., family caregivers, community partners) to study and promote good health and translate complex information into user-friendly formats
  • Support the development of educational content including tip sheets, infographics, audio/visual materials, and easy-read documents
  • Conduct and analyze qualitative interviews/focus groups with participants and caregivers to inform ongoing projects on healthcare and IDD
  • Support the preparation and submission of REB applications and maintain research documentation
  • Assist with participant recruitment, scheduling, and records management
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative data collection and basic analysis
  • Contribute to presentations, knowledge dissemination events, and peer-reviewed publications
  • Support workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement events focused on inclusive health care

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or related degree combined with one (1) year of relevant research or clinical experience is required.
  • Prior research experience with individuals and/or families with developmental disabilities is required.
  • Experience in virtual education and knowledge translation activities involving patients, families, and service providers is required.
  • Proficiency with REDCap, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SPSS, and NVivo software is an asset.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment is required.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy while meeting deadlines is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and within an inter-professional team is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds is required.
  • Proven ability to develop accessible, plain-language, and inclusive materials for diverse audiences is an asset.
  • Familiarity with easy-read principles and inclusive design frameworks is an asset.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and community-based research is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
