Join us at Geek Squad (the technical service organization of Best Buy Canada). We are looking for people just like you, to provide help desk and technical support to our clients.

As a Remote Technical Support Technician, which we call a Remote Services Agent, you are able to:

  • Work 24 hours, or more, per week, from the comfort of your own home
  • Be scheduled for 4-5 shifts a week

As a 24/7/365 business we require flexibility from our Agents. Shifts are up to 8.5 hours in length with start and end times varying from day to day.

As a Remote Services Agent, you will create an amazing customer experience in our call center by:

  • Identifying and recommending solutions based on customers’ individual needs
  • Facilitating the complete solution of product repair, troubleshooting, upgrades, installations, and other services using an online portal and remote desktop software
  • Tutoring clients on the proper and optimal use of their products
  • Completing training as required to continuously improve the experience for clients
  • Having fun while being the best – you believe that positivity drives productivity and work should be stimulating

You come ready with…

  • 1+ years of call center or help desk experience
  • Experience in troubleshooting and/or repairing clients’ devices
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with English, both verbal and written

Bonus points:

  • 1+ years of experience with computer or network troubleshooting and repairs
  • A+ Certified
  • French proficiency

We ask that your home office comes equipped with…

  • A personal computer with monitor, speakers, and anti-virus software (PC must be running Windows 8 or newer, Mac computers must be running 10.13 or newer)
  • Subscription to a high-speed, hard-wired internet connection
  • A USB or 3.5mm PC headset
  • A webcam for team meetings and ongoing training
  • A door – Home offices are required to be private and quiet, and not located in your living room
