We provide exceptional, patient-centered care to a diverse population, offering unique opportunities for nurses and healthcare professionals to advance their clinical expertise in a dynamic and compassionate environment.

- Critical Infusions & Pain Management: Management of patients requiring Insulin drips, Cardizem drips, Heparin drips, and CADD (Continuous Ambulatory Delivery Device) pumps for pain management.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- The unit emphasizes interdisciplinary teamwork, with close collaboration among nurses, physicians, social workers, surgeons, respiratory therapists, wound care specialists, and chaplains. This collaborative approach ensures comprehensive care for each patient.
- Empowering Work Environment:
- Nurse Autonomy & Empowerment: Nurses on the 4400 Unit are empowered to make independent decisions, advocate for their patients, and participate in shared decision-making with the care team.
- Comprehensive Onboarding & Mentoring: A structured onboarding process ensures new nurses are supported as they develop skills and confidence. Ongoing mentorship and professional guidance continue throughout their career.
- Positive & Inclusive Culture: We recognize the emotional and physical demands of caring for high-acuity patients, and create a positive, inclusive environment where each team member is valued and supported.
- Professional Development:
- Nurse Residency Program: First-year nurses participate in our Nurse Residency Program, which offers mentorship, support, and a focused path for professional development, particularly in oncology and palliative care.
