We’re looking for a Regional Manager to lead the planning, design, and implementation of high-performing registration and client scheduling systems across Fraser Health, Providence Health Care, the Provincial Health Services Authority, and Vancouver Coastal Health. Reporting to the Director of Registration & Records Management, you’ll play a strategic leadership role in shaping registration and data quality standards that support exceptional patient, client, and resident experiences.

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management and seven (7) to ten (10) years of recent, related experience in a large multi-site organization and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in operational and/or project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of groups or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership with proven ability to guide, coach, and support teams.

  • Skilled in policy development, change management, and influencing organizational practices.

  • Knowledge of systems analysis, design, and project management methodologies.

  • Effective at managing multiple projects and leading successful implementations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including advanced reporting and presentation skills.

  • Strong facilitation, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making abilities.

  • In-depth understanding of current healthcare issues and trends.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in resource management, including budgets and staffing.

  • Technically proficient with relevant software and systems.

  • Physically capable of carrying out job responsibilities.

Your Day to Day:

  • Lead Regional Registration Strategy:Directs a cross-organizational team responsible for registration data quality, core standards, education, and continuous business process improvement across multiple health authorities.

  • Champion Best Practices & Innovation:Provides strategic registration leadership by staying ahead of industry trends and ensuring new system capabilities are leveraged for organizational benefit.

  • Develop & Maintain Standards:Leads creation, documentation, and dissemination of consistent registration and scheduling standards in line with provincial and national guidelines.

  • Oversee Training & Education Programs:Designs and manages comprehensive training programs for registration staff, ensuring alignment with standards and ongoing compliance monitoring.

  • Drive Data Quality & Compliance:Develops and manages data audit frameworks to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of patient registration data.

  • Analyze & Improve Operations:Utilizes structured methodologies to analyze workflows and recommend improvements to registration systems and processes across organizations.

  • Foster Stakeholder Engagement:Builds strong internal and external partnerships, leading cross-functional collaboration to support system adoption, improvement initiatives, and user satisfaction.

  • Manage & Support Staff Performance:Leads recruitment, supervision, coaching, and performance management for staff, including involvement in labour relations, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.

  • Oversee Budget & Resource Planning:Develops and manages operational and capital budgets, resource allocation, and long-term fiscal strategies for the portfolio.

  • Represent & Influence Regionally:Acts as an LMHIM representative on committees and in strategic discussions; maintains awareness of industry developments through ongoing professional engagement.
