Job Description:The CompanyOur Advertising client in Toronto is looking for a Bilingual Proofreader for a 3 week contract that may have opportunities to extend. This is a remote opportunity, working part-time hours (approximately 10-30 hours per week). The selected candidate must be able to work during EST business hours from Monday to Friday.The PositionAs a Bilingual Proofreader, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing documents to ensure that they are accurate, clear, and error-free. Your keen eye for detail and mastery of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines will help us deliver the highest quality content to our clients.Key Responsibilities:

• Review and proofread a wide range of content, including banner ads, social media posts, email marketing campaigns, web content, and etc.
• Ensure grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting are correct in English and French.
• Verify consistency in style, tone, and formatting based on client or company guidelines.
• Identify and correct any typographical, factual, or typographical errors.
• Provide constructive feedback on written content, suggesting improvements where needed.
• Communicate with project managers or clients to clarify requirements or feedback.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Bilingual Proofreader, in an ad agency or similar fast paced environment
• Proven experience as a proofreader, editor, or in a related role.
• Exceptional knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and style rules.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Bilingual in English and French, with the ability to adapt to various writing styles.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Access to reliable internet

Expected salary

$27 – 31 per hour
