As the Project Manager, Learner Support, you will play an instrumental role in leading the planning, implementation, and execution of projects related to learner academic support services. Using your exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, you will make recommendations to improve learner support and remedial program structure, refer learners to coaching and developmental services while undergoing academic support plans, including remediation; provide guidance on PGME processes and remedial programs, and analyze data for reporting purposes. You will be an important contributor in engaging and communicating with key stakeholders, driving multiple, time-sensitive priorities, and analyzing data. Your extensive project management experience along with your ability to exercise solid critical thinking, analytical, collaborative and problem solving skills will be key to your success in this role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing charter, scope, resources and schedule for project(s), including reviewing and assessing requirements, implementing plans and process improvements, and recommending solutions
- Developing and maintaining project quality control standards
- Planning and implementing post-project review and audit processes
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Analyzing datasets and producing complex statistical information, including assessing and determining benchmarks and metrics
- Writing routine documents and correspondence, including project-specific proposals and briefings
- Directing the activities of a single ongoing staff-appointed employee
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of related, progressively responsible project management experience in a University, medical school, teaching hospital or comparable environment.
- Proficiency with developing project resources, such as charter, scope, schedules, etc.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining project quality control standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency analyzing data and producing complex statistical information.
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, techniques, tools and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, Project Management tools, learning management systems and student information and evaluation systems (i.e. POWER, Elentra), with the flexibility, adaptability and desire to seek out, learn and embrace new and emerging technology.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver on time-sensitive initiatives.
- Proven leadership, collaboration and motivational skills, including the ability to influence others towards a common goal.
- High degree of diplomacy and tact.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address potential issues and roadblocks in a timely manner.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines using analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

USW Pay Band 15 — $86,011 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $109,993. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
