About the Role
Provides administrative, clerical, and secretarial support to the Faculty of Education undergraduate programs offered at Burnaby campus, Surrey campus, Harbour Centre, and external sites. Provides general information regarding undergraduate programs, courses, activities, and policies and procedures. Analyzes and resolves non-routine student registration and admission problems for both on-campus and external site students. Responds to students’ requests for assistance with grading issues (i.e., grading guidelines, grade appeals, deferrals, extensions, withdrawals, unscheduled course cancellations, and rescheduled exams); assists students with registering for undergraduate Education courses; and coordinates course changes. Monitors and maintains social media channels and updates the Undergraduate Programs’ website. Provides secretarial support to the Undergraduate Programs Committee (UPC), by preparing and distributing the agenda; recording, transcribing, and distributing minutes; and uploading minutes on the departmental web page; and reconciles monthly budget expenditures.
