The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting competitive analysis, developing case studies, scheduling voice of customer interviews, and creating field enablement collateral for our global sales and operations training.Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below. How you will do it: 10-12 weeks during summer, flexible based on candidate availability (May 2023-August 2023) Conduct competitive analysis: research and analyze competitors’ products, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and providing recommendations sales and marketing collateral to differentiate solutions. Develop case studies: Gather information and work with Marketing team to create case studies to showcase our product’s success stories. This will include interviewing customers, collecting and analyzing data to estimate customer benefits, and writing compelling stories that demonstrate the value of our product. Voice of Customer interviews: Work with account managers and customer success managers throughout the globe to identify customer willingness to participate in customer development interviews for new capabilities or concept tests and coordinate scheduling. This will involve educating local Johnson Controls account teams on the purpose of the customer research, developing interview scripts, gathering customer-specific information in advance of the interviews, participating in the interviews, analyzing data, and summarizing the insights. Create field enablement collateral: Create sales and operations training materials including on-demand training resources, videos, and live-training curriculum. This will include developing training materials, creating presentations, and supporting the team in delivering training sessions. Participate in the Future Leaders Internship Programming events that include but are not limited to: weekly professional development sessions, 8-week innovation challenge and a self-directed virtual learning journey and special events Duration:This will be a full-time summer 2023 internship. Location: While preferred locations include Milwaukee, WI; Ann Arbor, MI; we are also considering virtual candidates located anywhere in the United States. What we look for RequiredQualifications: Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university Pursuing an MBA, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and the ability to gather and analyze data from a variety of sources. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise reports and presentations. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Interest and past experience with Smart Buildings Technology, Sustainability Reporting, Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accounting, Energy Efficiency, and/or Software as a Service (SaaS) products. Joint MBA/MS program candidates also pursuing MS in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Energy & Resources, Engineering Systems, Energy Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Environmental Engineering. This is a full-time internship with a duration of 10-12 weeks.
