Pre-requisite: Applicants must hold a PhD in biochemistry/molecular biology.

Required Skills:

We are looking for a motivated post-doctoral fellow to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a Mitacs-funded project and the candidate will have the opportunity to work on industry-sponsored project for 1 year. This position has the possibility for renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

High-level hands on experience with more than one protein expression system, purification methods (cell harvesting and manipulations, centrifugation, chromatography, ultrafiltration), and mutagenesis for engineering is required.

Strong demonstrated experience in using different biophysical/protein analysis techniques, such as spectroscopies (including DSC, NMR, CD, FTIR, fluorescence), calorimetry, microscopy, kinetic measurements is needed.

Experience in using molecular modelling, bioinformatics methods and programming would be an advantage but not essential.

Must be able to work independently on multiple projects and have good project management skills. Experience in supervising students on protein biochemistry project would be beneficial.

Must be a good team player and have excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $42,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
