Podcast Producer

The VonDubCast Podcast

The role of podcast producer is multifaceted and will be tailored to the potential hires skills. The main responsibilities would be assisting in booking/scheduling guests, helping run podcast equipment during interviews as well as two scheduled non interview podcasts per week, possible conversation participation and fact checking/googling. The producer would also be responsible to work with the host to get any spin off ventures of the podcasts including, new podcasts, streaming, live watch alongs for sporting events, helping launch potential podcasters that match the VonDubCast brand and help use the existing expertise to get them started. Another facet of the job would be sponsorships, both brainstorming and identifying brands that would work with the shows as well as contacting and working to bring the best service possible to those that choose to advertise with the VonDubCast.

Additional roles would be

-Helping with social media and marketing

-Identifying and pulling clips of 1-2 minutes up to 10-20 minute for instagram, tick tock, youtube etc

-Helping run youtube channels for podcasts as well as starting a youtube clips channel for the VonDubCast

-Assisting with podcast editing

So far the podcast has put out over 130 long form episodes (as well as 5 episodes of a new spin off Oilers podcast) and the conversations have been amazing from the start and are only getting better with time. What the podcast needs now is some structure and an extra set of hands to help give it the professionalism it needs to grow to its full potential. This is going to require a determined, resourceful and passionate individual with the foresight to understand where it is the podcast is going and the drive to help bring it there.
