Job Title: Line Operator

Job Description

The Line Operator will work as part set-up technician and part packaging operator. This role involves setting up machines by dismantling and assembling large packaging machines, troubleshooting issues, and working on packaging machines in a GMP environment. The operator will follow SOP standards, package pharmaceutical medications, and handle labeling, scanning, loading, and unloading of materials. The role also includes completing documentation tasks on a laptop and performing heavy lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines by dismantling and assembling large packaging machines.
• Use tools such as allen keys, wrenches, power drills, and other manual tools for changeovers.
• Troubleshoot issues with packaging machines.
• Work in a GMP environment, following SOP standards.
• Package pharmaceutical medications.
• Label, scan, load, and unload materials.
• Complete documentation tasks on a laptop.
• Perform heavy lifting of at least 50lbs.

Essential Skills

• Experience with general production, machine setup, troubleshooting, and changeovers in a GMP environment.
• Proficiency in operating packaging machines.
• Hand and power tool experience (e.g., wrenches, power drills, manual tools).
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in packaging and labeling.
• Experience as a machine or line operator.

Work Environment

The work environment adheres strictly to SOP and GMP standards, with frequent client walkthroughs. Shifts include rotating days and afternoons, straight nights, and a training period on the day shift. Employees will initially be partnered with a set-up technician or mechanic for 3-4 months. Expect to work with high attention to detail in a fast-paced, clean, and temperature-controlled environment while wearing full PPE, including provided uniforms and anti-static steel toe shoes. More experienced employees may transition to departments requiring advanced PPE, such as PAPR suits, with premium pay.
