If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet you!Job Skills / RequirementsPosition Details:Position: Casual Patient Watch Security GuardSite: Various Health Care Sites within GTAAveraging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hoursHours: Hours may vary site to site (example Days, Nights, Rotating Shifts)Payrate: $ 18.00/hourPosting Date: July 18, 2025Internal Closing Date: July 24, 2025
External Closing Date: August 1, 2025Key responsibilities:

• Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent self-harm or injury.
• Monitor and report any unusual behavior, incidents, or safety concerns to clinical and security staff.
• Maintain a respectful and non-invasive presence while observing patients.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals, following facility protocols and directions.
• De-escalate situations calmly and appropriately using non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• Covid Vaccine two doses
• Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test
• Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must
• Previous experience in security or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to stay alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and remain composed under pressure.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
