Job Summary & Key Responsibilities | A Part-Time Academic is needed to teach the following course from July 24th – August 25th, 2023. BUSI 5503 – Quantitative Decision Making This class is delivered intensively in the summer (Monday & Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. approximately) to our full-time Corporate Residency MBA students. The Corporate Residency MBA is a career launching program. This is an introductory course in quantitative methods with emphasis on business applications. Throughout this course an emphasis is placed on helping the student recognize situations and areas in business in which quantitative analysis might be useful. |
Qualifications/Requirements of Position | A Masters or PhD degree is required. The successful applicant must have demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter and practical experience as well as established a consistent record of effective teaching. Excellent oral/written and presentation skills are required. The successful candidate must also be able to meet the Faculty of Management’s accrediting body (AACSB) academic or professional qualification requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation. They should be available each week for individual and group consultations with students. The Part-Time Academic liaises with the Summer MBA Curriculum Committee. |
Salary Range/Pay Rate | $6351 per course (In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement) |
