Job description
We are looking for a part-time English tutor/instructor who is enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about all aspects of English Language Arts, including writing, reading, grammar, and vocabulary. The ideal candidate will have experience helping students between the ages of 10-18 adopt a systematic writing methodology that builds over time. This position is remote, with classes taught online in a virtual classroom environment. Each class typically meets once per week and is 80 minutes long.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Instruct small groups of students in an online, virtual classroom
- Maintain an engaging classroom atmosphere
- Track and communicate student progress with regular in-class comments and feedback
- Developing suitable teaching curriculum to meet students’ needs and goals
Experience
- Canada/US high school English teaching: 2 years (preferred)
Certification
- Teachers license in Canada/US (preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 2-4 per week
Salary: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Work Location: Remote
