Embedded with an offshore operator, your typical roles and responsibilities are listed below. The expected core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
- Start-up, operation and shut down of offshore process and utility plants
- Working knowledge of the Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Control System (ECS), and Fire & Gas System (FGS) would be considered a strong asset
- Working knowledge of local regulatory codes and practices
- Working knowledge of computers and computerized maintenance management systems
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices
- Leadership and teamwork skills to support a team-based approach to construction and maintenance activities
- Understanding of the permit to work system
- Working knowledge of safety practices common to the industry
- Other training as deemed necessary by operator.
Professional Certification:
- Process / Chemical / Petroleum Technologist qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Safety Training (to be provided if candidate does not have):
- Basic Survival Training (BST)
- Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015
- Offshore Regulatory Awareness
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Salary: $15,500.00 per month
