Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (average 45hrs/wk)

Responsibilities & Duties

• Learn to diagnose and repair our unique blower truck equipment
• Perform routine maintenance
• Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Perform incidental welding operations and other mechanical repair work as required

• Perform inspections and test mechanical units
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions
• Adjust, repair and/or replace parts and components of transport truck systems
• Complete reports to record problems and document work performed
• Maintain a safe work environment within the department and on each job

Qualifications

• Proficient in English spoken and written
• 3-5 years’ experience (inclusive of apprenticeship)

• successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Qualities

• Must be a team player
• Must be neat and professional in appearance
• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be receptive to directions and able to efficiently carry out tasks
• Must be able to work around heavy equipment in a safe manner

Physical Aspects of Position

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
• Good visual acuity and auditory levels required
• Shoveling material around prior to tarping
• Ascending and descending ladders
• Extended periods of sitting

Safety Sensitive Position

This position is deemed as a Safety Sensitive position and will require negative result for pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing in order to complete offer of employment for anyone who will be operating heavy equipment or company vehicles.
