We are urgently seeking a LICENSED AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN to join our busy, well established and evolving facility with the latest technology with a FLAT RATE pay structure. RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform all vehicle warranty and non-warranty inspection, diagnostic, maintenance and repair work efficiently and competently to dealership and manufacturer standards • Examine and test drive vehicles to determine what repairs are required as indicated on work order. • Relay information to the Service Advisor if additional service work is required as a result of inspection or road test and not indicated on work order. • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts • Maintain timely, accurate records of work performed per repair • Participate in paid General Motors training programs both in-house and external and keep current of all factory technical bulletins • Maintain work and shop area in a neat and clean manner and account for any/all Company-owned tools and equipment at all times • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean • Wear and maintain any personal protective equipment required and follow all health & safety procedures REQUIREMENTS • Strong mechanical/technical automotive ability • Initiative to better yourself, our team and the overall customer experience • Excellent time management & organizational skills with keen attention to detail • Understand safe working and driving practices • Ability to work well with a team • Previous experience in a General Motors dealership is an asset, but not required LICENSE • Drivers License (Required) • Ontario Motor Vehicle Repair License 310s (Preferred) WHAT WE OFFER • Full-time, permanent position • Flat rate pay structure • Steady consistent hours • A well equipped service facility • Paid General Motors Technical Training • Positive work environment with superior management support • Employee discounts • Group benefits
