Position Overview:

Elite Valve Canada is a leading manufacturer of valves, offering a full range of industrial valves, actuators, and control products. We specialize in knife gate valves, representing 65% of our business. Our clients throughout North America depend on the performance of our product in such applications as wastewater, mining, and pulp and paper. Elite Valve has Professional Engineers on staff to mentor and assist Engineers in Training to achieve their P.Eng. designation.

The Junior Engineer is responsible for achieving corporate objectives by supporting the needs of our internal and external customers with respect to technical/engineering services, including product design, process materials engineering, technical support, and product training to channel partners. Other valuable skills include a high proficiency in computer technology including Microsoft Office suite, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Solid works, quality engineering etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain technical marketing tools such as product brochures & installation manuals.
  • Develop and implement quality standards, quality control systems.
  • Carry out quality inspections, provide technical review for quality control, non-conformances, and continuous improvements.
  • Inspect and pre- qualify third party vendors as per our established standards and criteria.
  • Engage with channel partners and prospects to support their technical needs.
  • Work closely with various departments to drive product design, development, and production efficiency.
  • Create and revise product drawings using Solid works within the established deadlines.
  • Assist with research and development on prototypes and special projects.
  • Facilitate large orders or projects, which could include delivering samples, creating technical reports, or visiting the end user.
  • Support other departments regarding production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production, order processing and shipping orders out in a timely manner.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and workflow.
  • Design tooling and fixtures and provide training on their use.
  • Work with third party vendors to clarify requirements and issue purchase orders.
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment, products to ensure characteristics meet required industry standards.


The requirements of this position include the following or the equivalent thereof:

  • Degree in engineering preferable in mechanical or manufacturing.
  • Prior experience working with engineers within end user organizations as well as plant floor employees would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issue with valve product applications.
  • Ability to create extensive pattern and product drawings in Solid works.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • An effective team player in support of continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to travel within Canada, the USA and overseas is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
