Job Description:

As a key member of the Engineering team, the IT Systems Specialist is responsible to monitor installed systems and infrastructure, install, configure, test & maintain operating systems as well as configure & troubleshoot PC/laptops. This position is also responsible to maintain security, back up and redundancy strategies.


  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Address issues in a timely manner aiming for minimal disruptions
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure security of data network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Audit systems and assess their outcome
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Train users on the IT systems and provide continuous support
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Works closely with various functional departments
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements
  • Ensure team follows security and safety policies
  • Assists with identifying own performance gaps and takes action to improve through remedial training, self-development or otherwise
  • Ensures that team members are treated with respect and encourages an atmosphere of openness and fairness at all times
  • Takes direction comfortably, able to multi-task, managing time efficiently to obtain optimum results
  • Maintain 5S
  • Other duties as required


  • 3+ years’ experience with IT and systems support within an automotive manufacturing environment and/or demonstrated work experience/internal training/testing
  • Understanding and experience with ISO based quality systems, MES, ERP and Kanban Systems
  • PC/lap top troubleshooting & configurations skills
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and mutli-task
  • Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take initiative and recognize needs
  • Superior attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Professional appearance and manners
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email and ERP systems
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills
  • Strong morals and ethics, along with commitment to staff & company privacy
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
