KIK Custom Products is looking for an Infrastructure and Cloud Architect to provide senior technical guidance to our Infrastructure Team. You will help design, plan and implement hardware and software systems, as well as maintain and upgrade existing services.


The Infrastructure and Cloud Architect is a senior member of the IT team and is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance / support of the corporate IT infrastructure and cloud services. In addition, this role provides advanced technical expertise and architectural solutions in infrastructure, hardware, network, and cloud.


  • Responsible for complete corporate infrastructure design, systems analysis, data center and cloud operations.
  • Acts as a senior expert for the infrastructure teams in the planning, designing, and delivery of IT solutions.
  • Establishes and advocates IT technology standards, methodologies and processes.
  • Drives short & long term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio
  • Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.
  • Communicates and validates program architecture with infrastructure team, project management team, and technology services management team.
  • Conducts end-to-end technical plan design.
  • Develops long-term strategy for storage needs.
  • Develops enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.
  • Design and develop infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new solutions.
  • Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions.
  • Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems.
  • Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations
  • Provide third level support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise
  • Communicates and collaborates with local IT staff as well as colleagues in other parts of the world for configuration, troubleshooting.


  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Engage with different business areas to identify, construct and deliver appropriate solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement that may involve resources beyond the team (customer groups, external vendors)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, cloud, and application software
  • Linux and Unix are an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of VCenter/VMware or other virtual software
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols
  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP and other network services
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage systems (Pure Storage, EMC, etc.)
  • Microsoft certification preferred in either Windows Server 2012/2016
  • Microsoft certification preferred in MS Azure and its concepts
  • Knowledge of Citrix or Azure Virtual Desktop an asset.
  • Knowledge of Cisco network and voice equipment and technologies
  • CCNA(P), CCIE certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of managing a data center in terms of systems monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks, and keep abreast of the latest technology
  • Capability to work with people at all levels and in different time zones


  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure technologies
  • Deep understanding of network designs and operations
  • Demonstrated experience in the following networking concepts: Systems (e.g. VMWare, Windows, AD, UNIX, Commvault, MS Exchange, O365, Azure)
  • Internet Protocols (e.g. DNS, HTTPS, SMTP, SSL)
  • Technologies (e.g. SIP, DNS, DHCP, SD-WAN and network segmentation)
  • Knowledge of firewall configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with different network types (i.e. LAN, WAN)
  • Proficiency with relevant business systems, operating systems, and servers
  • Possesses knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. Systems, Protocols, Directory Services)
  • Skilled in light programming, project management of small initiatives, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Zero-Trust methodologies
