Ace Acumen Academy is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success. The College requires an Instructor to teach in the _ INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT – LOGISTICS SYSTEMS_ program:
Candidates must be flexible to teach mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Job duties will be carried out on-campus, with in-person learning. THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION.
Candidates must be capable of and committed to effective teaching, program level assessment of student learning and working with diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver quality classroom instruction based on the approved curriculum
Timely completion and submission of all grade books and marking of all tests, examinations and assignments
Provide a positive, enriching learning environment for students by using holistic and career-oriented teaching methods that accommodate students’ diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences and individual learning styles
Qualifications:
- MUST be a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) accreditation by FITT or are committed to pursue the industry-validated CITP designation within a year
- Diploma / Degree in Business Administration / Logistics is required
- An MBA is preferred
- University degree in a related field (Business, Accounting, Commerce, etc.) is preferred
- A relevant PhD, Bachelor of Education and/or a Master’s Degree in a related field is an asset
- 3 years of progressive experience in a related field; preference will be given to candidates who have relevant and recent experience operating in the international business area such as supply chain management, logistics, market entry and distribution
- 2-3 years of demonstrated experience teaching within a virtual classroom environment, at a post-secondary level in a college or university
- Google classroom experience an asset
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Experience working with international students
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning and proven approach to life-long learning
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, resolve problems and make decisions per policies and procedures
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decision-making processes
Among the subjects to be taught:
International Business Management, International Marketing, Supply Chain Management, International Market Entry, Logistics, Trade Finance and other related disciplines
Must have knowledge of:
- Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Legal Aspects of Transportation Management
- Freight Forwarding
- Procurement
- Transportation and Trade
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide a 10 minute teaching demonstration. Details will be provided when interviews are scheduled.

Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
