Intern Researcher

Our team has an immediate 3 month Internship opening for a Researcher.
Responsibilities:

• The Student Researcher Program at Huawei Canada aims to foster academic collaborations with PhD students from leading Canadian universities through AI research initiatives. 
• This position provides the opportunity to lead cutting-edge research projects, collaborate closely with Huawei Canada’s researchers and engineers, publish in top-tier AI conferences, and contribute to AI innovations for Huawei’s consumer electronics products, including mobile phones, laptops, smart TVs, smart glasses, etc.
• Collaboration with the candidate’s PhD supervisor is encouraged to support their academic goals and PhD thesis.
• Research topics may include:  Multimodal agents for digital automation, Image, and video generation Efficient LLMs and Generative AI.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Currently enrolled in a full-time PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience contributing to research communities, including publishing papers in major AI conferences or journals.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to solve complex technical problems, such as through research projects, open-source contributions, or coding/math competitions.
