About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Industrial Controls, the Intermediate Electrical Controls Technologist will be responsible for the design, programming, and commissioning of Industrial Control Systems.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Produce electrical and control system design drawings and other documentation including single line diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts, load calculations, BOMs, and other related documents;
  • Specify and select electrical components for use in electrical design;
  • Oversee and support control panel builds and FAT testing;
  • Support on-site team with system testing and commissioning.

Our Must Haves
  • Minimum two (2) year of experience in Electrical Design and troubleshooting;
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Experience in control system and electrical panel design using AutoCAD Electrical or ePlan platforms;
  • Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron) and HMI programming;
  • Experience working in the food, manufacturing, agriculture, pulp and paper, or forestry/lumber industries will be considered an asset.
