As an IT functional analyst, you act as a content specialist in delivering, maintaining and updating solutions.
Based on your experience, you actively participate in developing small-scale or large‑scale, highly complex business solutions and respond to development or change requests related to projects or products.
You conduct analyses and actively participate in developing and upgrading software products included in business solutions. You meet member and client needs while ensuring solutions meet quality and security standards. You are heavily involved in defining the implementation strategy, conducting the necessary testing within your scope, participate in implementation and assist in resolving anomalies.

You draw upon your extensive business knowledge and skill at handling complexity, and are required to interact with stakeholders working in complementary, technology-related fields. In addition to your technical knowledge and experience, as a team player, you must demonstrate an openness to Agile approaches, and thus versatility and a willingness to contribute to all aspects of the team’s work. You advise dedicated clients and partners.

Main responsibilities
  • Define specific functional specifications/exceptions with the product owner and project team
  • Work in a co-creative capacity with our business partners on developing needs and managing backlogs
  • Help define the various scopes (stories, release, sprint, project, tests)
  • Define and execute automated and/or manual tests within your scope (specific cases/exceptions)
  • Produce or update required documentation
  • Collaborate and/or take the lead in managing incidents/problems within your scope
  • Assist, as a specialist, with solution feasibility/detailed design
  • Advise and guide the development team and product owner by recommending various functional alternatives that are aligned with the architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT)
  • Professional experience in IT functional analysis
  • Proficiency in new Agile methodologies
  • Experience in an application development environment (an asset)
  • Significant project experience (an asset)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
JIRA/TFS, SQL query tools, test automation tools such as Parasoft, HP UFT, SoapUI, Cucumber, Visio and Enterprise Architect (an asset)
