The Opportunity

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time 1 FTE

Hours of Work: 0800-1600
Wages: $51,450.00-$71,472.00

You will assist in the orientation and on boarding process for new and current employees.
You will participate in assessing, planning, developing and implementation and evaluation of education programs and tactical planning, and other related duties as required.
You will facilitate education programs that maintain competency of staff
You will manage the delivery of educational services to site(s).

Requirements:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma is required.
  • Current registration and in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Minimum of five years working with the frail elderly or disabled.
  • Minimum of two years education experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite applications experience is required

Other Requirements:

  • A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
  • A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Medicine Hat, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • working with the elderly: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • LPN/RPN (preferred)
  • CPR Certification (preferred)
