We are currently looking to expand our Engineering department with a draftsperson – Advanced Inventor Modeler; someone strong in modeling skills to create parts and assembly models for BOM’s and fabrication.

JOB DETAILS

• Create 3D part and assemblies for our Bill of Material needs using Inventor software.
• Evaluate constructability and clash detection
• Follow company standards for various CAD formats
• Able to read and examine engineering drawings for conformity & errors
• Attend and participate in project coordination meetings
• Continued development in Inventor and Vault Pro Software
• Represent at all levels, ACS values of teamwork, trust, and integrity

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or architectural design
• 2+ years of Inventor prototype modeling experience preferred (through work or education) – REQUIRED
• Basic AutoCAD experience
• Strong geometry, constructability and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of Vault database.
• Ability to work independently, within a team
• Ability to multi-task on several concurrent projects.
• Knowledge of office software tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fluency in English, spoken and written with strong skills in communication.
• Willingness to be trained to the company standards for Inventor Modeling and CAD drafting
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Team orientated

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kamloops, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Autodesk Inventor: 2 years (required)
• drafting: 5 years (preferred)
