Job Description & Key responsibilities:

Director- Marketing & Commercial Operations

This role sits on the Senior Management Team and is responsible for driving commercial and operations success within the organization. This role involves working with the General Manager and internal management and also external stakeholders.

The Director of Commercial Operations must be comfortable working in a small but dynamic environment and must have an entrepreneurial view of running the business.

Specific responsibilities and deliverables include:

· Lead the Commercial operations of the business which would include Sales, Marketing and Market Access

· Work with the Senior Management team to identify and evaluate strategic opportunities

· Ensure all commercial activities are implemented and executed in line with all regulations and compliance policies of the organization

· Lead the development, production, and delivery of advertising and promotional initiatives to maximize marketing effectiveness

· Lead in developing strategic plans and executing operational marketing plans that support business objectives whiles working collaboratively with other team members

· Collaboratively work with other team members to ensure that product supply always meets demand in line with Strategic and Operational plans

· Lead Sales team to help develop sales opportunities. Participate in Area/Regional meetings. Manage professional development of sales team

· Lead the sales training effort; ensure the sales team has all the tools and resources to succeed

· Lead the complete lifecycle of product portfolio from launch to discontinuation

· Responsible for the preparation of long-term and short-term product sales and budgets; Goal setting of sales, market share, market growth and profitability

· Lead the Development and execution of strategies to ensure continued coverage and reimbursement of existing products and of new products

· Direct the management and implementation of reimbursement initiatives to meet the organization’s strategic market access objectives

Skills & Qualification

The successful candidate is a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic team player who is resourceful and dedicated and has competencies in adapting to changing environments.

Minimum qualifications:

· University Degree

· Must have at least 10 years hands-on marketing experience in a pharmaceutical environment with progressive leadership experience in marketing pharmaceuticals, medical or OTC products

· Experience and working knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical environment

· Knowledge and experience of the Pricing, Reimbursement and Market Access of the Canadian pharmaceutical market

· Developed project management and analytical skills

· Highly energetic team player with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

· Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using social media tools is an asset

· Very strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage own workload whilst multi-tasking in order to meet deadlines

· Strong innovative and creative marketing skills. Must have entrepreneurial spirit.

· Must have ability to learn both technical and product related materials

· High energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented and must have the ability to lead and inspire change

· Sales and marketing experience in pharma

· Ability to communicate with physicians, executives and business partners

· Ability to partner with the sales force and sales management to develop brand strategies

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

· Product launch experience an asset

· Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

· Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Salary: $120,000 to $150,000
