In consultation with the Manager and Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN), the Dialysis Unit Assistant performs
clerical/technical/patient care duties and other job specific functions related to the demands of the Unit. The position
requires a firm understanding of the RHA charting documents, Manitoba Provincial Dialysis Program standards, clerical
routines, and a rudimentary understanding of the dialysis equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Graduate of a recognized Health Care Aide Program or relevant combinations of education and experience

• Graduate of a recognized Clerical Training Program or relevant combinations of education and experience

• Recognized Medical Terminology course, or willing to obtain

• Satisfactory employment record required

• Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
