They mentor students, help them with difficult concepts and assignments, and teach them the skills necessary to be great cybersecurity professionals. They guide students through the program and into their future careers, ensuring all students get the most out of both, regardless of their background.What you will do:As an expert tutor, you will be a big part of student’s educational process and will:
- Mentor students during 1-1 video calls; you’ll be dealing with different questions from students, including a deeper explanation of certain concepts, tools, or skills, supporting and navigating students in their assignments;
- Communicate with students via video during group Q&A sessions for “drop-in” questions;
- Host webinars and other educational events for groups of students (about the content covered in our program, extracurricular skills, career, and industry knowledge), or attend other non-educational meetings with students;
- Share your professional expertise and best industry practices with the students;
- Develop a community among the students, encouraging and teaching community norms in social spaces like Discord, Twitter, and Reddit, so that students can easily connect and communicate in real-world cybersecurity communities.
What we can offer you:
- Pay rate of $45-50 per hour based on experience;
- Remote, part-time work (10-15 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week can be discussed);

- Free in-house training on how to be a great expert tutor and role model for students, choose the appropriate tone of voice when communicating with students, improve soft skills;

- You have 3+ years of experience in the cybersecurity field. Experience with tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Splunk, ELK, and more. Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Oracle VirtualBox) and cloud technologies;
- Familiarity with cloud security tools like CrowdStrike, Cisco SecureX, Prisma Cloud, and more;
- Experience in incident response and crisis management within a business environment;
- You have 3+ years of experience working in the US tech industry and have been exposed to cybersecurity standards, such as NIST, ISO, and other regulatory frameworks;
- You are ready to dedicate 10-15 hours a week (or slightly more if you wish) to this project, sometimes on weekends;
- You are passionate about your profession, the Cyber field, and its development.
We appreciate it if you have:
- Teaching or tutoring experience;
- Your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study cybersecurity.
Expected salary
$45 – 50 per hour
