Position Summary:

The Cost Reduction Program Manager is accountable for defining the product specific cost reduction road map. This would include managing all aspects of cost reduction projects and tracking the cost fluctuations of all finished goods produced.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Manages the development and implementation process of products and services
• Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products
• Manages projects from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending
• Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of cost reduction projects
• Leads Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
• Capture and report on cost changes as a result of change management processes
• Report on cost changes to product and services
• Audit operations processes to identify inefficiencies

Position requirements:

• Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Six Sigma designation an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or related experience is an asset
• exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities to interpret data points to make sound and cost-effective judgments
• Effective planning and organizational skills
• Ability to be an active team member and leader
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments
• Effective communication skills
