Would you like to help us enhance our client experience, now and for the future? Are you client orientated with high risk awareness?As a Corporate Action Specialist, you will:
- examine and investigate corporate action notifications from custody networks to ensure accurate and timely input to the banks’ corporate action systems and notification to our clients
- track and execute corporate action instructions as received from clients
- ensure corporate actions are accurately processed including asset set-up, tax and book value adjustments.
- monitor domestic and global Proxy including Shareholder Rights Directive II
- provide backup coverage for the Mutual Fund & Hedge Fund Desk. Train the backups for any process changes on the Corporate Action Desk functions and enhance Standard Operating Procedures

Ready to be part of #teamUBS and make an impact?Your teamThis role is accountable for all Operations processes specific to Corporate Actions, assisting a team split between Toronto, New Jersey, Tennessee, and our vendor support out of India. In addition to your run the bank responsibilities, you will also be responsible for assisting with any project related deliverables.Your expertise
- 3 years relevant experience in the financial/securities industry specifically in the Entitlement and Corporate Action operation areas
- have Canadian Securities Course
- excellent analytical/accounting skills to accurately determine complex entitlement payments and finalize corporate actions processes
- strong organizational skills, ability to plan and prioritize regular tasks and special projects through to completion, meeting strict deadlines in a time sensitive environment
- previous experience or exposure to mutual fund processing (foreign & domestic offshore, account transfers, Nostro and custody reconciliation’s) would be an asset
- excellent written and verbal communication, ability to write clearly and concisely and effectively interact with external/internal stakeholders
- strong knowledge of EXCEL and Microsoft Suite
- post-secondary education in commerce, Business Administration or Economics is a plus
