Position and Responsibilities
As part of the human resources team, the coordinator, training, is responsible for all site training requirements and partners with site leadership to ensure compliance with mandatory and legislative training needs.
The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for design, planning and delivery of training and development programs. You will manage the site training requirements through a systematic approach to training (SAT) and ensure the sites compliance to training standards as defined by the regulator. The coordinator will also monitor training programs and results using Cameco’s internal systems to ensure all mandated and legislated employee training requirements are met.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements for the position:
- Post-secondary education in a related field (ie. human resources, adult education)
- 5 years’ experience of progressive training and development experience in an industrial setting
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills
- Results driven
- Clear police background check
- Experience working in a unionized environment
