Hiring Unit:
Computational and Data Systems Initiative (CDSI)
Position Summary:

Refresh and, where appropriate, redesign the look and feel of the CDSI website (and its satellite data science website) with the goal of optimizing the information and excitement they communicate to internal and external audiences about the University’s vibrant ecosystem around computing and data systems.

Integrate the CDSI website with University feeds on computing- and data-related events and people to amplify visibility, increase automation, and minimize content fossilization.

Update the CDSI website to align with the University’s emerging standards around Drupal 9.

Collaborate with CDSI leadership and Faculty of Science Communications staff.
Note: this position will require up to 15 hours per week
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Experience building websites using the administration interface of tools like Drupal, WordPress, or Squarespace

Strong understanding of web writing and usability principles

General aptitude for learning complex user interfaces and technical tasks

Basic understanding of HTML and CSS

Reliable, with strong organization and time management skills

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Knowledge of computing and/or data science an asset

Registered McGill Science student preferred
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience
Hourly Salary:
(AMUSE C) $15.82
