The Opportunity:
Canadian Natural is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead of Cloud Management. The successful candidate will lead a team of systems analysts and be responsible for delivering cloud operations with a focus on management of private and public cloud tenants, and managed cloud communication and productivity services. Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver and maintain cloud tenant environments and operations: Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365
  • Deliver and maintain managed communications and productivity services including calling, chat/messaging, audio/video conferencing, e-mail, and office productivity across on-premises and cloud service components
  • Ensure the availability, scalability and security of accountable tenants, services and systems
  • Lead a team of systems analysts, providing technical leadership, professional development and performance management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Collaborate across the IS organization to ensure integration and operation of accountable services with other systems and services
  • Manage vendor relationships, participate in contracts negotiations and ensure timely delivery of hardware, software and services
  • Contribute to the planning, execution and delivery of projects, ensuring they deliver required capabilities on time and within budget
  • Evergreen documentation of service management configuration, support processes and knowledge base
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product roadmaps, and technologies enhancements to continuously improve accountable services and systems

Other Details:

  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 5×2 – Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
  • Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy
  • On-call: Participate in service team on-call rotation

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of technology industry experience with at least 3 years in a cross-functional team leadership role
  • Strong technical knowledge of public and private cloud service models, modern communication and productivity services, and cloud automation technologies servicing 10,000+ global users (Cisco VoIP, Webex, Microsoft 365, Terraform, Azure, AWS)
  • Familiarity with security principles and best practices for externally accessible and cloud services and systems
  • Familiar with the ITIL framework and its use to deliver excellent IS and customer service
  • Proven and effective technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad set of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and deliver results on time
  • Experience in managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of hardware, software, and services
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical problems
